Laboratory Refurbishment

Having started trading in Cambridge, we are very experienced in every aspect of laboratory refurbishment ; specification; design and installation. We supply laboratory furniture; laboratory equipment; laboratory flooring; laboratory gas services and air handling systems.

Regarding laboratory equipment we design and install autoclaves, including commissioning, calibration and validation of many of the leading brands. We also specilaise in the supply, installation and commissioning of Miele laboratory glassware washer disinfectors.

We have carried out many installations of clean room’s and as such have built up much expertise in providing a safe, clean environment. Critical processes such as the assembly of electronic components, manufacture of clinical products, pharmaceutical products and medical devices are carried out in clean room environments. The ISO 14644 and EU GMP standards exist to provide guidance for cleanroom design, construction and operation. Laboratories have their own hazards and risks to operatives and others and as such we give advice on all aspects of laboratory construction, refurbishment, installation and operation.

Resin flooring is a very important aspect of laboratory refurbishment which we take very seriously. Resins invariably come in two parts being a base resin and a hardener, or activator, which enables the curing of the base. This is a chemical reaction which, once started will not stop.

The quantity of base to hardener varies with each flooring manufacturer. There are fewer than a dozen companies who produce the base resins in their pure form, a process known as cracking. Hardeners come in many different types, and it is these which offer the scope for matching the resin floor to its proposed environment.

Our laboratory furniture is carefully designed with both functionally and pleasing appearance in mind. The materials and components we use are of the best available quality. A wide spectrum of system types and finishes are available from general purpose installations to highly specialised requirements. Considerable attention has been paid to function and "Fit for Purpose", with research conducted into laboratory ergonomics, chemical resistance of materials and durability, all of which ensures reliability and a quality product. Materials are available to suit your specific requirements, including Trespa; laminate faced MDF, solid grade laminate, epoxy resin, stainless steel and solid hardwood.
