Canteen / Restaurant
For larger offices, a formal canteen style area may be suitable, giving staff members a place to eat and catch up with their colleagues. These areas vary in size considerably depending on the scale of the office and the number of staff. The introduction of these spaces will reduce the waste found in other office locations as staff may be required to limit eating to this one area. Canteens may also be advisable in rural environments where off site food services are limited or where shift work is common. Catering facilities may need to be incorporated into these areas as well as vending machines. Alternatively smaller offices, may wish to introduce restaurant style furniture near breakout areas to introduce additional flexibility into their space.
